Seaton Under 11s Match Report
Lowca 6 Seaton 66
A full length try in the first minute by Lowca,s Charlie Walker set the
tone for this thrilling under 11s match, which although the score line
suggests differently, was end to end.
Inspired by their captain, Greg Benson, Seaton responded when powerful prop
forward Stuart Gallacher dragged six lowca players over the line to place
the ball down under the posts, Greg Kerr adding a conversion. After
brilliant Seaton defence on their own line, winger, Billy Southward scorched
the length of the field for a superb opportunist try with Kerr once again
converting.
With Lowca camped on the Seaton line, a loose ball was scooped up by prop
forward Ellis Mewes who went the full length of the field for a spectacular
try. Mewes showed his fitness, speed and strength by going in for a further
three tries, two of which were identical to the first, Kerr added the
conversions.
After a neat run around, scrum half Greg Kerr found himself in space near
the Lowca line, sold an excellent dummy and strolled over the line for a
classy try which he converted himself.
The introduction of big centre, Kieran Mewes seen him help himself to a
quick double of tries, all which he converted himself.
His centre partner Dan Davies danced his way over for a try following great
work from hooker, Jack Earl.
Once again Seatons strong defence, lead by second rower Jon Carl Bryan,
held firm on their own line following constant pressure from a resiliant
Lowca, a dropped Lowca ball resulted in Kieran Mewes going eighty yards for
the final try in a tremendous game enjoyed by a good crowd and giving a
final score of Lowca 6 Seaton 66.
