Seaton absorbed a considerable amount of pressure, particularly in the
early stages, before breaking free to score the important tries. Loose
forward Tom Walker opened the scoring for rangers powering in at the
corner after good work from Kieran Irving. G E W hit back with big Joe
Kirkup levelling the scores. A short pass from Austin Blackwell saw jack
Williamson burst through from 10 meters. Scott Rooke ws on hand to
receive a James Park pass, to side step the defence for rangers third
try, Tom Walker slotting over the two points. G E W never gave up and
scored a good team try to make it 14-8 at half time.
Seaton started to complete their sets of six. after good handling by the
backs Scott Rooke made a telling break to go under the posts, walker
adding the extras. G E W notched up the next points with a chip over the
top, to go in at
the corner.
Seaton had the last word with tom walker bursting through, releasing
Scott Rooke who's instinctive ball found Tony Quinn in support, weaving
under the sticks, walker kicked the goal as the full-time whistle was
blown.
