Seaton Rangers U12’s
14 Hensingham U12’s 14
A great second half fight back rescued a point for Seaton in an
entertaining u12’s clash. Hensingham opened the scoring with Andrew
Middleton touching down in the corner.
The game was held up when a young Hensingham player was taken to
hospital with a suspected broken arm.
Seatons’ Jack Williamson, James Park and Bradley Lawrence all went close
before the interval.
Hensingham continued to press with two quick trys by Keelan Powe and
Travis Scott with one converted, stretched the lead.
Seaton produced a fine comeback from 14 – 0 down at half time. Prop Lee
Williams latched onto a Tony Quinn pass to burst over.
Stephen Tuke fed Scott Rooke who raced from his own half to make 14 – 8.
In the last five minutes Seatons inexperienced team (Twelve making their
rugby league home debuts) got their rewards, Jack Watson found loose
forward Tom Walker who powered through.
Needing the conversion to level the scores, Tom Walker slotted over
against a strong wind.
Man of the match 1 = Tom Walker
