Egremont 24   v  Seaton 4

Led by Joe Quail Seaton put up a brave effort against a bigger Egremont
side. Seaton started well and Matthew Haigh scored first touching down an
excellent cross field kick from Richard Johnstone. From the restart Harry
Hancock broke the defensive line for a 60 yard break only to be collared
short by the Egremont full back. Egremont came back strongly and scored 2
tries out wide to lead 10-4 at the break. Egremont scored first in the second
half and then good defence from both sides saw limited scoring
opportunities. Seatons effort began to take its toll and in the last couple
of minutes they tired allowing Egremont to score twice but the Seaton lads
can all be proud of their effort.
