Seaton Under 14s Match Report

Kells 28    Seaton 10.

Kells started the game strongly but brilliant defence from Seaton denied them. Eventually the pressure told and Kells took a 4-0 lead. Seaton then had a good attacking spell but an unlucky bounce from a kick on last tackle saw a Kells player collect the ball and go the full length of the field to give them a 10-0 lead. To their credit Seaton came back up the hill and Scott Rooke scored and added the conversion to bring them back into the game at 6-10. Kells scored a couple of quick tries at the beginning of the second half but again Seaton came back when good play by Tony Quinn saw him crash over to make it 18-10. A mistake from the restart gifted Kells possession and they scored from it to lead 22-10. Seaton tried hard but it was Kells who had the final say with a try out wide to end the scoring. This was a good performance by the Seaton lads against a strong Kells outfit.
