Seaton Under 16s Match Report

 Salterbeck 4 - 22 Seaton.

This was a very tough encounter with big forwards on a tight pitch.   Seaton
scored early with a fine try for Carl Stephenson bursting through  the line
and racing 30 metres to score under the sticks.  An easy  conversion for Jon
Richardson and Seaton led 6 - 0, Salterbeck pressured Seaton  from the restart
and forced the error and then capitalised with an  unconverted try out wide.
Seaton then started to dominate the ruck  and once again Carl Stephenson's good
running lines paid dividends with an  identical try under the sticks again,
Richardson converted and Seaton led 12 -4  at half time.  In the second half
Seaton stepped up a gear and in  particular the scrum half Lewis Crellin led by
example, his tackling was terrier  like and Storms big forwards were felled
time and time again.  Seaton  continued to break the line and one fine 40 metre
run by Jordan Tinkler  pulled in the defenders which allowed quick hands to put
Jon Richardson in at  the corner. The last try of the game went to Lewis
Crellin who sold the whole  defensive line an outrageous dummy and darted through
to touchdown. Jon  Richardson added the conversion and the game was wrapped up
at 22 - 4 to  Seaton.  Seaton's third win on the road in the last three
weeks.
