Seaton 14  v   Walney Island 38        

 
Walney are a very big and well drilled side, who's players are all at
the top end of the age group.  That said the young Seaton side never
took a backward step and competed much better than the score line
suggests.  Walney's 6 and 7 ran the game and brought into play their big
forwards.  Seaton's Callum Phillips delivered an awesome display of
tackling around the ruck and still had plenty of gas in the tank to put
Dan Watson into gaps out wide.  Although every player gave their all, a
special mention should be given to Seaton's fullback Shane Ackerly who
drove the ball up countless times and led by example.  Seaton are a
newly formed side and will develop into a useful unit as the season
unfolds.
