Maryport 10 -  Seaton 20

Some good defence on show from both sides saw the scoring opportunities kept
to a minimum.
Jon Richardson broke the deadlock with an interception which he converted
before Maryport scored out wide. A fine pass from Callum Phillips saw Carl
Stephenson collect and burst the line to score. Jon Richardson converted to lead
10-4. A full length try from Maryport made it 12-10 before John Todd crowned a
fine game when he burst through several tackles to score under the sticks to
give Seaton a 16-10 half time lead.
There was some brutal defence on show in the second half and Lewis Crellin
scored the only try to end a very competitive game.
