Both teams deserve a lot of praise for an excellent game of rugby league which hung in the balance until the final minute. Brutal defence by both sides meant scoring opportunities were kept to a minimum but Seaton opened the scoring after good hands by Lewis Crellin and Callum Phillips put Carl Stephenson through a gap to score and with Jon Richardson adding the conversion Seaton were 6-0 up. Harry Kaufman scored an unconverted try on the stroke of half time to bring Broughton back into the game. The first quarter of the second half was all Broughton and Brad Nixon and Kaufman both scored good tries and with Nixon adding a conversion and a drop goal  Broughton had a 15-6 lead. Callum Phillips brought Seaton back into the game after a fine solo try  with Richardson adding the conversion. Shane Ackerley put Seaton back in front scoring under the sticks and with Richardson adding the conversion Seaton led 18-15.Broughton came back and scored after Seaton dropped a kick on the last tackle and at 19-18 it looked like it was Broughtons game but Seaton just wouldnt give in and after good work by Seatons forwards Daniel Watson  crashed over to bring an end to a fantastic game of rugby league.
