Seaton Under 16s Match Report

Seaton 42  v  W.Brow 8

Despite playing into a gale force wind Seaton managed to take a 4-0 lead when Richard Johnstone sold the defence a dummy and crashed over. Due to the conditions most of the first half was played in the Seaton half and their defence deserves a lot of credit for limiting the Brow to a converted try and a penalty. With the wind behind them Seaton started the second half strongly and Lee Dixon scored early to level the scores at 8-8. Wath Brow were struggling to contain Seaton and John Todd, Nathan Kirkbride and Carl Stephenson scored tries with Jordan Tinkler adding 3 conversions to lead 26-8. A brilliant chip and collect from Richard Johnstone saw him feed James Wilson to score, then a good off load from Brett Symes saw Kirkbride collect and race 50 yards to score, Tinkler added the conversion. Rampaging prop John Todd completed the scoring with Tinkler adding the conversion.
