Seaton Rangers took on their closest rivals in a much
anticipated game and in the end came through as comfortable

good field position following a knock on which they took
scoring in the corner to give them an early lead 4 - 0.

he managed to get outside his opposite number with a great
side step with Kieran Mewse adding conversion. 4 - 6. Seaton
had a player given 10 minutes in sin bin following try.
Seaton were then awarded a long range penalty which was
converted by Mewse. 4-8
Seatons Jonathan Cameron was making tremendous yards with
every touch and relentless pressure down the left flank gave
Connor McCrickard a chance to sneak into the corner. 4 - 12.
Back to back penalties gave Wath Brow good possession but
strong Seaton defence held strong until another knock on
gave the Hornets a chance and they scored under the posts.
10-12 at half time.
Seaton started very strongly in the 2nd half playing down
the slope and Jordan O,Leary showed strength and pace to
score the early try Seaton were looking for with Dominic
Smallwood adding a touch line conversion 10 - 18.
Seaton were now making good yards down the middle with
Connor Fitzsimmons, Ellis Mewse, Stuart Galacher, Grant Reid
and O,leary charging forward giving space for the backs to
play their part with Billy Southward in particular very
dangerous at full back. On the back of a strong run to the
line, a quick play the ball and short pass to Galacher who
steamed onto the pass and proved unstoppable scoring next
to the posts, Smallwood conversion and Seatons lead was now

conceding 5 consecutive penalties eventually succumbed to a
Wath Brow try in the corner and it was game on 20-24.
From the kick off, 11 man Seaton produced an outstanding
defensive set with Fitzsimmons inspiring his team mates with
a huge tackle causing a Wath Brow knock on.

held up short, Conor Fitzsimmons hit the ball flat out to
score next to the posts with Smallwood adding the conversion
