The game started with some good physical defence from both teams before good hands saw Seatons Matthew Haigh score to give them a 4-0 lead. On the next attack Seaton spilled the ball and a long range effort gave Salterbeck a 6-4 lead. More good hands from Seaton saw tries from Matt Parker, James Wilson and Nathan Kirkbride with Stephen Clarke adding 2 conversions. Salterbeck scored just before half time to trail 10-20 at the break. Seaton started the second half well and Haigh, Wilson and Parker each scored their second tries and with Clarke adding 2 conversions they led 36-10. Salterbeck wouldn’t lie down and scored again before Seatons Jon Richardson scored a great solo effort to end an entertaining game
